Good afternoon! We had the first real snowstorm here in the city. Fortunately, it fell just a couple of inches. It's still too cold to go outside. I just sent proofs to clients for their feedback and hopefully will have a relaxing weekend. I haven't been to the gym all week so I hope to go tomorrow morning.
The last game of this weekend is Colts vs. Broncos at Sports Authority Field. There will be a Manning playing, but it's not the one we would hope for here. He doesn't have a great record against the Colts, but the Colts have found themselves struggling in halftime against the Broncos. The Colts and Broncos have met 23 times and the record is close (12-11-0, Denver). Colts quarterback Andrew Luck hasn't had much, well, luck against Denver either.
Party Idea of the Day: What would the big game be without a selection of your favorite brewskis? The blog Celebrations lists the most popular brands of beer. Without peeking, can you guess which is #1?
Super Bowl Fun Fact of the Day: This is something I never knew. Roman numerals are used in the Super Bowl because the football season falls in two calendar years. That makes sense.
Today's birthdays include: Nina Dobrev (25), A.J. McLean (37), Angela Bettis (42), Dave Matthews (48), Steve Harwell (48), Carl Bell (48), Joely Richardson (50), Imelda Staunton (59), J.K. Simmons (60), Crystal Gayle (64), Buster Poindexter (65), Jimmy Page (71), and Joan Baez (74).
Holidaze: It's National Apricot Day (I especially like them dried) and National Static Electricity Day. No word on origins of either holiday.
This weekend, I will begin talking about wedding celebrations and Valentine's Day ideas. Our Super Bowl series will continue as well.
Have a PRINTASTIC day!
Kathy
